By using stopwatch you can easily track your hours precisely without the hassle of trying to remember how long you worked on a project. You can access stopwatch by clicking the icon in the top action bar.

In this view you can start new timings, continue previous ones and edit settings related to stopwatch. All timings for current day are shown in the main view where you have the option to delete or continue timings.

Settings

Stopwatch main view

Here you can define what you see in What are you working on? menu and set reminders for yourself. Time related reminders (e.g. 8:00) will be shown if you are logged in. The reminder that will be shown after timing has been ongoing for a specified time will be shown at that time and the next time you login.

User profile

You can edit all Stopwatch related settings also in My Profile > Work Hours.

Start a new timing

You can start a new timing by either clicking the green play button or selecting a project first. If you start a timing via the green play button the timing isn’t connected to a project. You can connect the timing to a project in the main view while the timing is ongoing or after you have stopped it. You can also connect the timing to a project in Time & Expenses view. When you select a project, timing will start automatically.

For ongoing timings you can change the project it is connected to or edit the description.

Stop a timing

When you have a timing ongoing you can stop it by clicking the red stop button. In the Time & Expenses view you can stop a timing by clicking the stop icon on the right side of that entry. Current timing is also stopped if you continue an older timing in stopwatch main view or in Time & Expenses view.

When timing is stopped it is instantly saved as a work hour entry if it is connected to a project. If timing isn’t connected to a project it will be highlighted in the main view and you can see it in the Incomplete entries section in the Time & Expenses view. After it is connected to a project it will be saved as a work hour entry.

Continue previous timing

After you have done your first timings for the current day you can continue those by clicking the play button that appears on the right side of each timing in stopwatch main view or in the Time & Expenses view. The new timing will be added on top of the previous timing. You can have separate timings for the exact same project/phase by selecting them from the What are you working on? menu.

If your company uses the Start time - End time work hour entry format you can’t continue timings.

Round timings

With rounding enabled, you can round timings in Time & Expenses view. Hover your mouse over a row to view available quick actions including rounding.

Delete existing timings

You can delete a timing by clicking the delete button that appears on the right side of each timing in the main view or in the Time & Expenses view.

If you delete an entry it will be deleted from both the main view and from the Time & Expenses view.
