The best way to enter absences is to use activities.
You can add them from the top navigation's Add new menu, or via the Time & Expenses view. We recommend using the Add new menu if you are adding a longer period of absence, for example a holiday. In the work hour entry form, it’s easy to add in hours that span a day, or only some hours in the day.
Absences are included in the total hours in the work hour entry view.
