When Security add-on is enabled, you can create a whitelist of IP addresses and prevent login from any other IP address.

Manage network restrictions

To manage network restrictions, go to Settings > System settings > Network restrictions. IP addresses can be either in IPv4 or in IPv6 format, and should be entered in a format of "x.x.x.x" (e.g. 192.168.0.100).

  • When you first take the feature in to use, you can add first all allowed IP addresses, and then enable the feature using the toggle.
  • When the feature is already enabled in settings, and you add or delete IP addresses, the changes become effective immediately.

There is no impact on the users who are currently logged in, they will be authenticated next time they log in.
