Once your customer has accepted the proposal, you can create both a project plan and a billing plan based on the proposal details. With these functions you can:

✔️ Ensure that everything agreed in the sales case moves correctly to delivery
✔️ Save time by letting the system create the project plan and billing rows for you

Create project plan from proposal

The project plan creation converts the proposal rows into the project phase structure.

  1. Open the sales case and the selected proposal from the Proposals section of the sales case
  2. From the arrow menu in the lower right corner, select Go to create project plan

Phase structure options

You can create phases in three different ways:

  • Subtotal rows as phases: The proposal subtotals form the project parent phases.
  • Work hour rows as phases: Each work hour row forms its own phase, and the work hour estimate is taken directly from the row.
  • Subtotal rows as phases, work hour rows as sub-phases: Creates a multi-level structure where hours are grouped by subtotals.

Create a billing plan from proposal

With the billing plan you define how the project is billed (hours vs. fees).

  1. Open the sales case and the selected proposal from the Proposals section of the sales case
  2. From the arrow menu in the lower right corner, select Go to create billing plan

Selecting the billing method

On the right-hand side of the billing plan view you can choose between two main options:

  • Products separately, hours according to price list: Use this when billing is based on both actual work hours and separate fees.
  • As fees: Select this when you want to bill fixed sums (based on subtotals, products or a percentage value).

Editing and managing plans

You can remove rows by clicking them. Removed rows remain on the proposal and can be added to the project later from the Financials tab.

If you need to edit the proposal while planning, you can go back by selecting Go back to proposal. Otherwise, confirm your selections with the Create phases button.
