Severa is a system that is normally used from anywhere on the internet. In some companies, privacy policies do not allow this, and the requirement is that employees can only use Severa from trusted IP addresses. When the Security add-on is enabled, the company can create a list of allowed IP addresses in Severa and thus prevent access from other IP addresses.

The restrictions also affect integrations (API) and mobile usage. IP addresses can be either IPv4 or IPv6 format, and they must be entered in the form "x.x.x.x" (e.g., 192.168.0.100).

The Security add-on is available in the Enterprise edition.
