A project can be deleted or closed, depending on whether quotes or billing have already been created for the work. The actions can be found under the three-dot action menu in the upper right corner of the project.

Deleting a project 

A project can be deleted if no billing or quotes have yet been created for the project. Delete project by first going to the project card:

  1. Open the three-dot action menu in the upper right corner of the project
  2. Select Delete project

Closing a project

If the project cannot be deleted, i.e. quotes or invoices have been created for the project, you can close the project. Closing hides the project from listings, but the data remains available in reports using filters. Start by going to the project card:

  1. Open the action menu in the upper right corner of the project
  2. Select Close project

Transferring work hour entries from one project to another

If you want to delete a project but work hour entries have already been recorded for it, the work hour entries should be transferred from project to another. The transfer can be done directly via the project using a convenient mass update:

  1. Open the Project plan tab of the project
  2. Go to the Phases section and click the total number of hours to view the report
  3. Select the desired rows using the checkboxes
  4. Select Select action > Change project and phase > Update
