Microsoft published a security update for Excel, which is preventing some of Severa's reports to open in Exce (the ones we haven't renewed yet i.e. Work hour summary and Work hour matrix). The difference with the new style reports is that the old ones aren't actually Excel files, but HTML and now Microsoft as default prevents these to open in Excel. This issue affects 2016, 2013 and 2010 versions of Excel after installing the update.

The issue occurs so, that Excel does open, but is completely blank.

How to fix the issue?
Depending on the version you are using there are two ways to fix the issue:

  1. Go to the Excel file Properties, in the bottom of General tab, click on "Unblock" OR
  2. Open the Excel, go to File > Options > Trust Center, click on Trust Center Setting, in the Protected View, deselect the first checkbox (Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet).
