How to: Adjust case completion
In Visma Severa Case completion percentage is calculated with work hours (work hours reported / total work hour estimate). Although other models exist, this has proven to be most commonly used model. It is possible to manually overwrite the percentage. After manual adjustment percentage won't update automatically but requires project manager's updates.
Work hours are entered by case members for the case as a whole or for individual phases depending on the case structure. The number of hours entered is added up and displayed as the number in front of the slash for Work hours in the Overview as well as in the Activities & Phases section of a case.
Work hours are estimated in the Activities & Phases section of a case. Hours can be estimated for the case as a whole and for individual phases. The total number of hours estimated is added up and displayed as the number behind the slash for Work hours in the Overview as well as in the Activities & Phases section of a case.
The percentage of Case completion is automatically updated when changes are made to the number of hours entered or estimated as a means to reflect case progress. However, it’s possible to manually edit the percentage and override the automatic calculation.
- Click the percentage of Case completion to open the Edit case completion pop-up.
- Enter an Estimate of the actual completion percentage, and Save.
Editing the percentage of case completion will disable automatic calculation, and the percentage will remain static until Case completion is edited again. Click to edit Case completion again and either adjust the number or clear the number to return to automatic calculation.
